Shooting In Port Edwards Leaves One Injured

PORT EDWARDS, WI (OnFocus) – On Jan. 24, the Wood County Sheriff’s Department received a complaint of a 19-year-old female who had been shot in the upper arm inside her residence on Nessa Lane in the Town of Port Edwards, WI on Jan. 15 at approximately 7:00 p.m.

The victim was treated and released after receiving medical treatment at Riverview Hospital in the City of Wisconsin Rapids. Investigators believe the residence was shot multiple times with a small caliber firearm from the roadway.

At this time it appears that this is a random act. The Wood County Sheriff’s Department is asking residents review home security systems and report anything suspicious in this area between Jan. 15 to the present date.
