Suspect In Custody After Report of Shooting
Town of Richfield (OnFocus) On May 30th, 2022 at approximately 7:16 am Wood County Sheriff’s Department received a complaint to the Marshfield Medical Center for a male subject with a gunshot wound.
An investigation led to address on Half Mile Drive in the Town of Richfield. Wood County Sheriff’s Department closed the road through the stand-off. Half Mile Drive is located One-Mile South of Hwy 10 in Wood County.
A suspect was taken into custody with no further incident at the address. Initial reports indicate that the County used a drone and tactical units to respond to the incident.
This was an isolated incident and the safety of the public is not in danger.
Marshfield Fire and Rescue also assisted at the scene.
This incident is still under investigation and more information will be made available at a later time.
