SPASH Boys Swimming Defeat DCE; Everest’s Barwick Shines with Two Pool Records

Stevens Point, WI – SPASH completed the regular season sweep of DC Everest tonight in boys swimming with a 106-64 victory. This was despite multiple record breaking performances from DC Everest. DC Everest Senior Keaton Barwick broke the pool record that had been standing since 1988 from Rhinelander’s D. Heck in the 50 freestyle with a new time of 21.37.

Barwick followed up with another pool record in the 100 freestyle going 47.59. DC Everest Junior Will VanErmen broke the pool record in the 100 backstroke going 52.61. Individual event champions from SPASH included Sophomore Tony Raczek in both the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly, Junior Henry Bowling in the 500 freestyle and Senior Landon Bicknase in the 100 breaststroke.
