Conference outlook
We will have a tough conference this year, but I think it is anyone’s ball game! Every match is going to be a battle and I am excited to battle with the teams we have in our conference. If we play and do things right, I think we have a real shot of contending for a top spot this season!
Keys to your success this season:
Our main focus this year is on team chemistry and getting better every day. Our team motto is Better Together, and that is the mindset we are keeping as we go forth each day. This is a group that is motivated and competitive, which makes coaching them so much fun. We have big key hitters returning to the floor this year, like Emma Barton and Brooke Boeck. We also return 3 defensive specialists who started last season, so I think we will be a hard team to score points on! We have a new starting setter, Emma Jossie, who spent last season learning under unanimous first team all conference Montana Zdroik, and she has grown so much in that position and will do a great job for our team.
Behind the scenes: Who are some of the people that help your program succeed?
Our athletic program is key in our success. Our athletic director and athletic assistant are hard working individuals who do so much for us. Our athletic trainer Linda Haller has been a role model to our girls for a long time, and is someone who keeps our team safe and healthy! Along with a great group of staff at SPASH, my assistant coaches are phenomenal. They are high energy, passionate, and give their all to our girls. Lastly, we have some amazing parents who run events like Diggin’ the Cause and concessions, and I couldn’t do it without them. SPASH Volleyball is a family and you can tell it is all hands on deck in our program!
