Special weather statement until 10am cdt sun… lingering dense fog expected to gradually dissipate this morning. Areas of dense fog formed saturday evening and overnight. The dense fog was most prevalent in northern and eastern Wisconsin, but patches of dense fog formed in central Wisconsin as well. As of 745 am, conditions across much of the area had begun to improve. The improvement is likely to occur from south to north, with the far northeast corner of the state being the last area to experience better visibility. Although conditions were improving, anyone traveling across the region this morning should still remain alert for lingering patches of dense fog. Always use low-beam headlights when driving in fog, and maintain extra distance between your vehicle and those around you.
