SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT UNTIL 1:30PM CST MON …SNOW AND ICE ACCUMULATIONS EXPECTED TODAY THROUGH TUESDAY… A MIX OF SNOW, LIGHT FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET IS EXPECTED TO ARRIVE ACROSS THE AREA AROUND MIDDAY, AND THEN CONTINUE THROUGHOUT THE AFTERNOON. THE SNOW COULD BECOME BRIEFLY HEAVY AT TIMES. SLEET IS ALSO POSSIBLE. THE PRECIPITATION IS THEN EXPECTED TO TRANSITION OVER TO LIGHT FREEZING RAIN LATE THIS AFTERNOON OR EARLY THIS EVENING. THE WINTRY MIX IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE AT TIMES THROUGH MUCH OF TUESDAY. AROUND AN INCH OF SNOW AND ICE ACCUMULATIONS AROUND A QUARTER OF AN INCH ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE PERIOD. UNTREATED ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW OR ICE COVERED AND SLIPPERY THIS AFTERNOON. TREATED ROADS MAY BECOME ICE COVERED AND SLIPPERY TONIGHT INTO TUESDAY. THOSE WITH TRAVEL PLANS SHOULD CLOSELY MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS AND STATEMENTS FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GREEN BAY.
