OWEN – Austin Bacon struck out six in a complete-game victory as the Spencer baseball team toppled Owen-Withee 9-1 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Monday.
Bacon allowed just a single run in the first innings to earn the win. He gave up six hits and two walks. He also had three of Spencer’s eight hits and scored twice.
Brett Kasch had four RBIs and scored three times, and Chase Higgins had a pair of hits and an RBI for Spencer.
Spencer (8-4, 8-3 Cloverbelt East) plays at Loyal on Tuesday.
