Spencer boys basketball crushes Greenwood

SPENCER – Spencer shot 55 percent from the field and cruised past Greenwood 61-39 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division boys basketball game Friday night at Spencer High School.

The Rockets made 23 of 42 shots from the field and 12 of 19 free throws to earn the home win and improve to 2-4 overall and 2-3 in conference play this season.

Austin Bacon led the charge for Spencer, scoring 20 points with the help of making 8 of 12 free throws. Nate Karau added 11 points and 10 rebounds, and Brett Kasch made a pair of 3-pointers and scored 10 points for the Rockets.

Spencer returns to action Thursday at home against Loyal.
