Spencer boys basketball grabs road win at Granton

GRANTON – Austin Bacon had 23 points to push the Spencer boys basketball team to a 62-52 win over Granton in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division matchup Friday night at Granton High School.

Nate Karau added 10 points and 16 rebounds, and Brett Kasch added nine points and seven boards for the Rockets, who are now 5-6 overall and 5-5 in the Cloverbelt East.

Bacon was 7-for-14 from the field, which included a pair of 3-pointers, and made 7 of 12 free throws. Karau made six free throws and had seven offensive rebounds.

Noah McConkey had 25 points for Granton (0-11, 0-8 Cloverbelt East).

Spencer plays a nonconference game at Abbotsford on Monday.
