Spencer boys basketball tops Loyal in overtime

SPENCER – The Spencer boys basketball team evened its record in the Cloverbelt Conference East Division with a 73-70 overtime victory over Loyal on Thursday night at Spencer High School.

Spencer is now 3-4 overall and 3-3 in the Cloverbelt East, while Loyal drops to 2-4 and 2-3 in the conference.

Austin Bacon had 22 points, and Nate Karau added 16 points and 14 rebounds for Spencer. Brett Kasch added 14 poitns in the victory.

Quinn Brussow led Loyal with 22 points.

Spencer is off until Jan. 4 when it plays at Neillsville in another Cloverbelt East matchup.
