Spencer (OnFocus) – Saint Croix Falls led Spencer/Columbus 14-7 at the half before pulling away with a consistent effort in the second half, picking up a 35-14 Level 1 Playoff win.
“Hats off to Saint Croix Falls,” said Spencer/Columbus Head Coach Jason Gorst. “They were well-coached and a very good team.”
Brock Bennington scored on a 16 yard touchdown in the first quarter, and trailed SCF 14-7 at the half.
Bennington tied the game for the Rockets with a 19 yard touchdown in the third quarter.
SFC then pulled away with three second half touchdowns, all on runs from Dayo Oye of 42, 18 and 33 yards.
Bennington led the Rockets with 112 yards on 17 carries.
