Spencer girls basketball tops Granton for first win of season

GRANTON – The Spencer girls basketball team evened its season record at 1-1 with an 11-point victory at Granton on Tuesday night.

Spencer won 38-27 to improve to 1-1 overall and in the Cloverbelt Conference East Division. Granton is now 1-2 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

Heavyn Kind had 12 points, and Jorie Meyer and Aryiah Schuh each had eight points for the Rockets. Schuh also made a pair of 3-pointers.

Spencer hosts Edgar for a nonconference game Monday.
