Kaleb Miller, a 2013 Spencer High School graduate, placed first in his weight class at the USA Powerlifting-sanctioned 2018 Wisconsin Collegiate State Championship early this month.
Miller, who played football and baseball for the Rockets from 2009-13, took first place in the 93-kilogram (205 pounds) class with a total lift of 1,515.7 pounds at the event on Dec. 1 that was hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Miller had a squat lift of 573.2 pounds, a bench press of 330.7 pounds, and a deadlift of 611.8 pounds, to win his class and earn a spot at the College Nationals at Ohio State in April.
Miller graduated from UW-Eau Claire in May with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and is currently pursing Master’s Degree in Recreation Management at UW-La Crosse.
