A close game in the Cloverbelt-East Conference, the Spencer Rockets caught and overcame the Dons, holding their lead in the last few minutes of the game 71-66.
The Rockets were led by Brett Kasch with 20 points, Eric Eckert contributed 18 and Kaleb Brandt added 14.
The lead scorer for the Columbus Dons Sam Wilczek with 16, followed by Wyatt Draxler with 12 and Jadon Nienast added 11.
Spencer is now one game behind Neillsville putting them second in the conference with an overall record of 10-4.
Columbus Catholic is now fourth in the conference with a record 6-8.
Spencer will be hosting Gilman next Friday Feb. 7th.
Columbus Dons will be playing in Granton on Tuesday Feb. 4th.
