We hope to compete this year with hopes to be in the middle of the conference this year.
Keys to your success this season:
We need to pass the ball well and be scrappy. We also need to play smart volleyball, but also stay aggressive by utilizing our hitters.
Behind the scenes: Who are some of the people that help your program succeed?
Each person on our team will play a vital role in helping us win. Hallie Meyer is going to play a huge role this year. As a freshman last year, she was starting to learn the role of being a setter. This year, as a sophomore, she will be our main setter and a leader out on the court. Kaelyn Schreiner will also play a part of leading our team and helping out setting/hitting for us. Alexa Stange and Alina Jackson will be our important defensive players leading the back court. Our main hitters, Hayly Smith and Hannah Reckner will need to play smart and hit the ball well for us every night. And our main blockers, Claudia Krause, Sam Soback, and Addie Foley will also help our program succeed with their big block and their hard, smart hitting as well.
Coach’s comments: anything else you’d like to share?
This year, the coaching staff has noticed a change in mindset and attitude with our athletes. We have seen more drive and the will to win in each of our players. We hope to bring this mindset and attitude every time we play. The girls are playing with a chip on their shoulder this year and want to put our program back to where it was.
