GREENWOOD – The Spencer softball team won a slugfest at Greenwood on Thursday, smacking six extra base hits, including two home runs, in a 9-8 victory.
Aryiah Schuh and Shaelee Neitzel each had a double and a home run, with Neitzel driving in three runs to lead the Spencer offense.
Tiffany Meinders and Maria Semenchuk each had two RBIs, and Paige Bauer, Meinders, Cassidee Widmann, and Elexa Post all had two hits as well in the victory.
Spencer is now 3-7 overall and 2-4 in the Cloverbelt East. Greenwood falls to 5-3 and 4-2 in conference play. Both of the Indians’ losses in conference play this year have been to Spencer.
