The Rockets were pushed back again and again by the Neillsville Warriors, but Spencer laid it all on the line and came out on top 61-60.
The Rockets were in second in the Cloverbelt East conference with a record of 13-1 behind the Warriors with 13-0.
Now, Spencer is ahead of Neillsville 14-1 to 13-1.
The Warriors were previously undefeated in the conference, and with a loss on their record they will have to share 1st place with the Rockets.
For Spencer, Eric Ehlert was the leading scorer with 21 followed by Austin Bacon with 17. Cody Vircks and Brett Kasch each added 9.
Alex King led the warriors with 21, Braden Trunkel added 10 and Santana Subke followed with 8.
