Ribbon Cutting to be Held Next Week
After six months without its own grocery store, Spencer has a new store opening next week in the former Gordy’s location (1110 S. Pacific St.).
Former store manager Andy Cveykus worked with Great Lakes Wholesale, a small grocery store supply chain delivery, to open the location in Spencer.
“They are really excited for their format, the way they changed things in the store,” he said.
Great Lakes Fresh Market offers full produce, bakery, and deli departments, as well as a coffee bar, floral service, an expanded beer, wine, and liquor department, and a small hardware selection. The Spencer Location will be the ninth retail location, which has stores in Michigan and two in Wisconsin (Augusta and Osseo, respectively).
“We are really excited to come back to Spencer, to be a part of the community again,” said Cveykus.
They are still looking for part-time help. If interested, stop in and pick up an application.
Great Lakes Fresh Market in Spencer will open on Wednesday, February 21st with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9 AM. Guests will be treated to cake, as well as have the opportunity to see demos throughout the store.
Store hours will be 7:00am to 9:00pm, seven days a week.
