Marshfield’s John Spiros claimed victory at the Aug. 14 primary election for the 86th Assembly District, winning 3855-2103 over Brent Jacobson on the Republican ticket.
“Granted, it’s a nice thing to come through a primary and win, because you have momentum. We want to continue with that momentum and carry it through November,” said Spiros in a video interview with OnFocus.
Spiros, who currently holds the seat, will run against Democrat Nancy Stencil during the general election on Nov. 6. Stencil ran unsuccessfully for the seat the last two elections. Terms are two years.
