MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – The Spring of 2022 Election will be used to fill the vacant mayor position for the City of Marshfield.

Five districts will also be voting on their representatives on the Common Council as Districts 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 will be up for grabs.

The incumbents for those seats are as follows: District 1 – Michael J. Feirer Alderperson, District 3 – Quentin Rosandich Alderperson, District 5 – Ed Wagner Alderperson, District 7 – Adam Fischer Alderperson, District 9 – Tom Buttke.

The mayor position was left vacant after the council voted to remove former mayor Bob McManus due to allegations that he withheld information during an April 2020 open records request. Messages from his city-commissioned cell phone had disappeared as well.

The mayor spot was vacated as a result of the investigation and the Common Council President assumed the duties of the mayor.

The spring election will occur on April 5, 2022 with the new term for the mayor and alderperson positions beginning on April 19, 2022.

Information concerning aldermanic district boundaries may be obtained from the Marshfield City Clerk, Deb Hall, 207 W. 6th Street, Marshfield, WI 54449.
