Marathon County Sheriff’s Department (editor’s note: later indicated to be Marshfield Police Department) was dispatched after a call came in at 9:11am from the Town of Cleveland with report of a stabbing. The suspect fled the scene and was apprehended in Marshfield. Marshfield Police Department, Spencer Police Department, Marathon County Sheriff’s Department and Wisconsin State Patrol were on scene.
The suspect is now in custody and there is no threat to the public. There was also a non life-threatening medical transport of another officer. Accident reconstruction is currently underway at the scene.
Eastbound W Veterans (Sth 13) between Oak Ave and Chestnut is closed due to a crash. Traffic rerouted north and south at Oak. Westbound Veterans (Sth 13) traffic is open.
