NEILLSVILLE, WI (OnFocus) — As New Year’s Eve approaches, the Neillsville Police Department is taking proactive steps to ensure everyone enjoys a safe and responsible celebration. The Department is excited to announce the launch of the Police Ride Home Program. This community initiative offers free rides home for individuals who may be impaired and at risk of driving under the influence on one of the busiest party nights of the year.

The Neillsville Police Ride Home Program provides free transportation for individuals who are too intoxicated to drive. Neillsville Police officers will be on standby to help arrange or provide transportation for anyone needing a safe ride home.

How it works: Call the police communications center at (715) 743-3157 and request a free ride home from a Neillsville police officer. To be eligible, you must call from within the city of Neillsville and need a ride to an address in the city.

The Neillsville Police Department wishes everyone a joyous and safe celebration as we enter the new year. By working together, we can ensure that 2025 begins with safety and responsibility.
