Steven Avery’s attorney has announced a $100,000 reward for the “real killer of Teresa Halbach,” whose 2005 murder led to his life imprisonment.
Kathleen Zellner said the reward is being offered by a concerned citizen and tips can be called in to 630-847-3733.
Avery’s case is the subject of Netflix’s breakout docu-series, “Making a Murderer.” After being exonerated for a 1985 sexual assault and attempted murder in 2003, two years later Avery was charged with Halbach’s murder.
