Voters showed up to appreciate top performing teams in central Wisconsin, and the amazing support saw each team receive over 170 votes!
Taking the title of OnFocus Team of the Week, September 3 – September 9 was Stevens Point Football, which picked up 591 votes.
Right behind in second place was Wausau West Football, which earned 506 votes.
Loyal Volleyball was third(312 votes) and Columbus Catholic finished fourth(213). Fifth place went to Cadott Volleyball with 178 votes.
OnFocus Team of the Week, September 3 – September 9
- Cadott Volleyball – Cadott went undefeated at its home invite, downing Luther, Mondovi, Turtle Lake, Unity and Thorp. Emma Kowalczyk led the Hornets with 34 kills, 3 aces, 38 digs, and 3 blocks.
- Wausau West Football – The Warriors won the final game in the West-East Log Rivalry, defeating Wausau East 49-14. The Warriors rushed for 436 yards on 36 carries, led by Ray Reineck, who had 273 yards rushing and four touchdowns(56, 36, 1 and 5 yards)
- Loyal Volleyball (nominated online) – Loyal is 3-3 this season, and this past week collected a pair of sweeps, downing Blair-Taylor and Mondovi.
- Columbus Catholic Volleyball – The Dons picked up a huge win this week, defeating Stratford 3-0 in nonconference play. Columbus is 13-1 and flying high this season.
- Stevens Point Football – SPASH pulled away from Wisconsin Rapids for a 41-9 win Friday evening, claiming the Ol’River Jug. Grant Chandonais completed 13 of 15 passes for 228 yards for SPASH and two touchdowns to lead SPASH.
