Stratford (OnFocus) – It’s been a long wait for football fans and football teams to start the 2020 season. The wait is finally over, and the season is now here.
We take a look at the Stratford Tigers with our Season Preview. We reached out to Coach Jason Tubbs for some thoughts on this football season, giving us a glimpse into how the Tigers are getting ready for this year.
OnFocus: How has your coaching staff and team prepared for this season?
Tubbs: The players are enjoying one day at a time. They know we could be shut down any day and COVID numbers are trending in the wrong direction.
OnFocus: What are some positives that have come out of practice and the season being delayed?
Tubbs: The players have really bonded over the current situation. Coaches are excited to be out on the field with our athletes competing in a adverse situation.
OnFocus: Season forecast – What should fans expect to see out of your team this year?
Tubbs: We lost 21 out of 22 starters from last season, so everything is new to this group. But, they have gotten 28 games the past two seasons, so they do have some experience.
