TOMAHAWK – The Stratford football team won its third-straight game and improves to 2-0 in the Marawood Conference with a 49-7 victory over Tomahawk on Friday night at Tomahawk High School.
The Tigers (3-1 overall) will hosts Marengo (Ill.) in a nonconference game at 6 p.m. Sept. 14 at Tiger Stadium.
Tomahawk drops to 2-2 overall and 0-2 in the Marawood with the loss.
Kade Ehrike rushed for 139 yards and four touchdowns, three coming in the first half as the Tigers built a 36-0 lead.
Chandler Schmidt added a 1-yard touchdown run and Vaughn Breit caught a TD pass from Max Schwabe as well for Stratford in the first half.
Derek Marten had the Tigers’ other score on a 32-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Schwabe finished 14-for-19 for 151 yards passing, connecting with Marten six times for 90 yards.
