Stratford girls basketball tops Phillips

STRATFORD – Breanna Ackley scored 19 points to lead three Stratford players in double figures as the Tigers knocked off Phillips 62-51 in a Marawood Conference North-South crossover game Friday night at Stratford High School.

Macie Schillinger added 13 points and 12 rebounds, and Blaire Lindner was 6-for-6 at the free throw line and scored 15 points for the Tigers.

Stratford is now 12-5 overall and 11-2 in the Marawood South, while Phillips falls to 7-10 and 4-9 in the Marawood North.

Jada Eggebrecht made five 3-pointers and scored a game-high 23 points for Phillips.

Stratford hosts Marathon on Tuesday.
