Spirited voting for the OnFocus Team of the Week, September 5 – September 11 saw the Stratford Girls Cross Country Team voted the area’s top team. The Tigers received 283 votes.
Second place went to Colby Football with 213 votes. Spencer/Columbus Football was third with 168 votes and Athens Football collected 139 votes for 4th place.
OnFocus Team of the Week, September 5 – September 11
- Colby Football – Perhaps no bigger statement was made in all of Wisconsin high school football in Week 4 than Colby’s 29-14 win over Edgar.
- SPASH Girls Tennis – The Panthers are on a roll, and dominated this week. SPASH won a pair of WVC contests, shutting out Rapids 7-0 and then shutting out Merrill 7-0.
- Athens Football – The Bluejays took it to Almond-Bancroft, picking up a 64-8 win in 8-Player Football. In its first year in 8-Player Football, Athens is off to a blazing 4-0 start.
- Spencer/Columbus Football – The Rockets returned to the win column with a big scoring outburst, downing Weyauwega-Fremont 48-28.
- Stratford Girls Cross Country – Stratford won the Phillips Cross Country Invite this week, easily taking the title with 38 points.
