Stratford Opens Season with Pair of Wins

The Stratford Tigers Softball team opened the season with a pair of wins Saturday over Stanley-Boyd, 10-4 and 7-0.

Bailey Linzmaier was 2-4 and 3 RBI to lead the Tigers in their Game 1 win.

Roeper was 3-4 for Stratford and doubled in the opener.

Ally Zuleger picked up the win, giving up two hits and walking three, while striking out 4 in four innings of work.

The Tigers outhit the Orioles 10-3 in game 1 and 10-5 in game two.

Laney Pankratz pitched a complete game win for Stratford in game two, giving up five hits and walking three while striking out six.

Kressa Wenzel and Linzmaier scored three runs apiece for the Tigers

Linzmaier, Tessa Berg, Wenzel and Roeper  each had two hits for Stratford.
