Stratford senior Macie Schillinger locked up a spot on the first team of the 2018-19 All-Marawood Conference South Division Girls Basketball Team, as voted on by the six conference coaches following the season.

Schillinger averaged 8.8 points and a team-best 6.3 rebounds per game this season for the Tigers, who finished 16-6 overall and 14-2 in the Marawood South, which was good enough for second place, one game behind conference champion Wausau Newman Catholic.

Wisconsin Rapids Assumption junior Madalyn Bohn, Wausau Newman Catholic juinors Jadelyn Ganski and Julia Seidel, and Edgar sophomore Makenna Guden were also named to the first team.

Guden led the conference in scoring at 16.0 points per game, while Ganski was fourth in scoring at 14.1 per game and topped the Marawood South in rebounding at 8.5 per contest.

Bohn was second in both scoring (15.8 ppg) and rebounding (7.7 rpg).

Seidel was named Marawood South Player of the Year, averaging 14.2 points, five rebounds three assists and 2.1 steals per game for Newman, which reached the WIAA State Tournament in Division 5.

Auburndale junior Natalie Aue and Stratford sophomore Breanna Ackley were among the second-team selections.

Aue led the Apaches in scoring at 10.8 points per game, shooting 76.2 percent (64 of 84) from the free throw line.

Ackley led Stratford in scoring at 10.4 points per game, making 77.1 percent (54 of 70) of her free throw attempts and drilling a team-high 24 3-pointers during the season.

Auburndale’s Mackenzie Raab and Taylor Stanton, and Stratford’s Callie Lehman and Blaire Lindner were honorable mention choices.
