Students Attend Xtreme Xploration

OnFocus: Juniors at Marshfield High School attended Xtreme Xploration at UW-Marshfield/Wood County on Wednesday, February 7. The mission statement for Xtreme Xploration is “Business and educational leaders sharing real life experiences to prepare students for post high school opportunities.”

Throughout the day students participated in informational interviews with community members and sought advice on resume writing. Students also learned about business ethics and etiquette, what college life is like from panel discussions, as well as discovered post-secondary educational opportunities.

Several four-year universities, two-year colleges and technical colleges from around the state were in attendance and available for any student who had questions in regards to where they want to continue their education after graduation from Marshfield High School in a year. Students also had the opportunity to discuss employment and apprenticeship opportunities.

The School District of Marshfield truly appreciates those local business leaders who volunteer their time to help prepare students to be career and college ready. Thank you to the sponsors for Xtreme Xploration including Kwik Trip, Simplicity Credit Union, Marshfield Sunrise Rotary, MACCI, MSTC, and UW-Marshfield/Wood County.
