OnFocus – After a bomb threat was found in the stall of an Auburndale High School bathroom Wednesday, the ensuing investigation found no validity to the threat.

Wood County Sheriff’s Department Lieutenant Joseph Zurfluh said the investigation is still ongoing.

“It’s still an ongoing investigation right now,” Zurfluh said. “We’re in the process of identifying persons of interest or suspects.”

The threat was scratched into a bathroom stall wall and it suggested that the person who wrote the threat had an explosive device according to Zurfluh.

As a precaution, the school was evacuated at around 11:40 a.m. Wednesday morning but the school has resumed operation today.

Zurfluh said he believed the message hadn’t been there for more than a day.
