OnFocus – Wood County Sheriff’s Department confirms that Auburndale Middle and High School is in the process of being evacuated due to an alleged bomb threat. Students that can drive were sent home and buses are en route for the rest of the student body.

Principal Steven Van Wyhe told parents that the “threat is not substantiated” but action is being taken “in an effort to practice the utmost of safety.”

Students will be picked up in front of the school and taken to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 10571 George Ave. Parents/guardians will be able to pick students up at that location.

This is a developing story.
