MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – We’re to that point of summer where keeping the kids entertained might be more challenging. There’s always the pool and ice cream, but what about activities unique to this area? We talked with local businesses to compile a list of summer activities for kids in Marshfield.
- Participate in a coloring contest to support Marshfield Children’s Hospital. Marshfield Children’s Hospital and Weiler’s Convenience Stores are partnering for the Kolor for Kids Coloring Contest. - Learn about finances…in a fun way! MMCCU introduced a Kids Rewards Club where youth members can earn prizes. Each applicant will get a free piggy bank to start saving, as well as a punch card with prizes to be accumulated over time. Youth are rewarded for deposits, as well as visits to the credit union. - Host a lemonade stand – Visit Festival Foods’ website for a great recipe on homemade, fresh-squeezed lemonade. Then visit the store to pick up the ingredients needed.
- Support local pets in need – Pet Supplies Plus makes it fun to help local shelter animals. Stop by the store to meet their many critters. While there, pick up a few items for MAPS. Learn more here.
