SUN PRAIRIE, WI (OnFocus) – Jimmy the Groundhog of Sun Prairie, WI did not see his shadow this morning and therefore, predicts an early spring is on the way.
Jimmy’s prediction contradicts Punxsutawney Phil’s prediction in Philadelphia, PA where the famous groundhog did see his shadow and predicts there will be six more weeks of winter.
Jimmy wasn’t alone in his prediction as Charles G. Hogg — aka Staten Island Chuck — emerged this morning in New York and did not see his shadow.
The event marks the 74th annual Groundhog Day prognostication at the “Groundhog Capital of the World.”
