Super Bowl Halftime Show Highlighted by Usher: Survey Finds Most Requested Songs

Ahead of the upcoming Super Bowl LVIII halftime show, VegasInsider.com has conducted a survey representative of the US population, and according to the results of the survey:

  • Alicia Keys is the most wanted guest performer for Usher’s halftime show (22% of votes) followed by Beyoncé (18% of votes) and Snoop Dogg (17% of votes)

  • “Yeah!” is the most wanted song in Usher’s setlist (21% of votes), followed by “Burn” (17% of votes) and “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love” (16% of votes), respectively

  • “Yeah!” was also the most popular song choice in the most US states (20), while Alicia Keys was the most popular guest performer choice in the most US states (19)

  • 17 NFL fandoms had Alicia Keys as their #1 most popular guest performer choice and 13 fandoms chose “Yeah!” as the most wanted song to be performed by Usher; supporters of both Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers had Keys and “Yeah!” as their #1 most popular choice

“Usher and Alicia Keys collaborated on “My Boo”, which is a Grammy-winning number one hit, and one of the most popular songs in Usher’s discography, “ says a VegasInsider spokesperson. “Secondly, if you think of great R&B music, Usher and Alicia Keys are undoubtedly one of the first names that will come up, so it is no surprise that the fans would love to see the two of them appearing at the halftime show together.”

VegasInsider spokesperson adds: “When it comes to the most wanted songs, “Yeah!” at number one is also not a surprise – it is the most streamed song in Usher’s catalog and the fans are clearly excited to hear the Super Bowl halftime show rendition of the song.”

METHODOLOGY

  • The survey was conducted between 29th and 30th of January 2024 through an external survey provider with a sample size of 2036 respondents, which were split equally to represent the age groups and geographical distribution of the population in the United States in order to achieve an accurate representation of the population’s opinions
