Suspect Apprehended Following High-Speed Chase Ending in Spencer

Marshfield, WI (OnFocus)  In a daring pursuit that took place earlier today, the Marshfield Police Department attempted to stop a gray Dodge Avenger for a routine stop sign violation. However, the situation quickly escalated when the driver of the vehicle decided to evade the officer by speeding away. The ensuing high-speed chase led authorities north on Veterans Parkway (State Highway 13) all the way to Spencer.

During the pursuit, law enforcement officers employed a tire deflation device in an attempt to halt the fleeing vehicle. However, despite their efforts, the suspect managed to evade capture by losing visual contact with pursuing officers. Undeterred, a perimeter was swiftly established with the assistance of the Clark County Sheriff’s Department, Marathon County Sheriff’s Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, and Spencer Police Department.

The collaborative efforts of the involved agencies proved successful as they located the vehicle in Spencer and promptly arrested the suspect. The individual has been identified as a 23-year-old man from Wausau. Following his apprehension, the suspect was transported to the Marathon County Jail.
