WAUSAU, WI (OnFocus) – The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that Desmond S. Mayo, the 29-year-old suspect involved in the February 4, 2023, shooting on Mcintosh Road in the Town of Wausau, was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force Tuesday morning in the Chicago, IL area. Mayo is being held in Illinois pending an extradition hearing.
