The City of Marshfield has released a video that allows residents to take a virtual tour of the upcoming aquatic center.
The video can be watched by visiting the City website or the Marshfield Aquatic Center Facebook page here.
The $6 million aquatic facility is currently in the design stage and will go out for bid in February. Construction is scheduled to begin in August 2020 until May 2021 with a grand opening in June 2021.
The pool design includes an extra 2,500 square feet of swimming space over the current Hefko Pool. The bathhouse will be 1,600 square feet larger and include a full concession stand. The space can accommodate 150 more people and parking will increase from 44 stalls to 166 stalls.
Features of the aquatic facility include two separate swimming areas, swimming lanes, diving boards, climbing wall, basketball hoops, water play structure, lazy river, and two waterslides.
