WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (OnFocus) – Area golfers swung into action to help out local cancer patients. In its 19th year, Tee Off Fore the Girls raised more than $23,000 for Aspirus Riverview Foundation’s Women’s Cancer Patient Fund.
Organized by the Ladies of Lake Arrowhead, the September golf outing and luncheon attracted 180 participants. The festivities also included a basket raffle, silent auction, fashion show, butterfly release, and cart-decorating contest.
Aspirus Riverview Foundation’s Women’s Cancer Patient Fund helps patients of Aspirus Cancer Care-Wisconsin Rapids with costs related to their treatment for which there are no other resources available. Typical examples include nutrition supplements, transportation to appointments, Home Delivered Meals, grocery cards, utility and rent assistance, and more.
