MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – This weekend has a more fall feel to it with temperatures expected to be in the lower 70s and upper 60s. Also, the Green Bay Packers begin their 2021 campaign on Sunday! Nevertheless, we have you covered for things to do in the area:
GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH BACKPACK BLESSING (Sunday) – On Sunday, September 12, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (GSLC) invites children and adults to bring their backpacks to the 9 a.m. worship service for a special blessing as the new school year begins. GSLC Sunday School will be giving a keychain and cross to attach to each of the backpacks and offering a prayer of God’s blessings to all in their travels and activities.
MCMILLAN FALL FEST (Saturday) – This event helps the fire department purchase equipment and other items to help serve the community. This year we have a lot of fun things planned. A 9/11 Walk/Run happening rain or shine. Registration starting at 7 a.m. with a start time of 8 a.m. $20 per runner, offering a one mile or a 5K. You can also preregister on our Facebook page. Corn Hole Tournament also rain or shine, entries are $20 per team and registration starts at noon and ends at 1pm. Tournament will start at 1:30 p.m. Top three teams will get a cash prize based on entries.
12 p.m. Hose Bowling
12 p.m. – 5 p.m. Kids tent w/ games, petting zoo, and more.
1 p.m. Pie Social
3 p.m. Main Street Conservatory of Dance
4 p.m. Reis Martial Arts
Going throughout the day there will be a silent auction, DJ, Bake sale, food stand, and 50/50 drawings.
