Mosinee vs. Lakeland Won: 90-48
The Mosinee Boys Basketball team played a conference game at home against Lakeland tonight. Mosinee would jump out to an early 24-0 lead before Lakeland scored. This first half would be dominated by Mosinee. They would go into half with a 53-25 lead. Mosinee would be led at half in scoring by Landen Thomer with 19 points, Aidan Shaughnessy with 9 points, Keagen Jirschele with 9 points, Treve Stoffel added 6 points, David Haskin with 5 points, Cole Kowalski with 3 points, and Sebastian Andersen with 2 points. Out of half, Mosinee would come out a little slow, but they would eventually get on a good run to get a running clock in the basketball game. This game would provide the fans with some fun offensive basketball and a few dunks.
Mosinee would be led tonight by Landen Thomer’s double-double with 30 points, 17 rebounds, 8 steals, 4 assists, and 2 blocks. Keagen Jirschele would contribute 19 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block. Aidan Shaughnessy added 13 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block, and 1 assist. Treve Stoffel added 8 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Cole Kowalski added 7 points, 2 steals, 1 assist, and 1 block. Sebastian Andersen provided 6 points and 4 rebounds. David Haskin added 5 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal. Trent Gorski would add 2 points to round out the scoring. The boys varsity team is now 6-0 in conference and 14-1 overall. Mosinee’s JV team won 72-44, JV2 lost tonight, and JV3 beat SPASH 55-40 tonight. Mosinee will travel on Friday to Medford for a conference game at 7:15.
