Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) Three City of Marshfield employees were recognized for their 10-year work anniversaries by the Common Council this week.

Patrick Kilty (Development Services), Derek Iverson (Marshfield Police Department), and Bryan Linzmeier (Street Division), all began their careers with the City of Marshfield on May 17, 2010.

Kilty, a Supervisor/Commerical Building and Electrical Inspector, came to work for the City of Marshfield as a career change.

“After 18 years in the trades as an electrician, it was time for a change and a different challenge,” he said.

In his position, Kilty has been directly involved with every project at the department since he started.

“The one that probably stands out the most is the PCA project. This was the biggest square foot building I had been involved with to date, as well as one of the most technically advanced buildings when looking at the automation side of the electrical installation,” he said.

An enjoyable part of the job is being able to find answers for questions ranging from an installation issue to code.

Kilty said he is always striving for the next challenge and hopes to continue “Evolving with technology and efficiency, whether it’s in the office or passing it onto others in the field.”
