Marshfield (OnFocus) – On Thursday, June 25, Marshfield Police Department reported three separate drug incidents in the city.
At 9:10 am, an employee at Wells Nature View reported people trespassing into area yards. The employee obtained a license plate prior to the vehicle leaving the area and the vehicle was later stopped. An exterior vehicle sniff by K9 Steffi indicated the odor of a controlled substance(s) emitting from the vehicle. One occupant was issued a citation for Possession of THC, another was arrested and turned over to Taylor County Sheriff’s Office for body-only warrants, and a third will have charges requested for Possession of Methamphetamine through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
At 6:43 pm, a traffic stop conducted on South Maple and subsequent inspection by K9 Steffi alerted to the odor of a controlled substance. A 22 year-old Marshfield male was arrested for possession of THC.
At 8:33, another traffic stop conducted on North Central Avenue and subsequent inspection by K9 Ace alerted to the odor of a controlled substance within the vehicle. A 33 year-old Ironwood, Michigan man was arrested for various charges, including Possession of THC, Drug Paraphernalia, Schedule II Narcotic and Prescription Medication without Prescription.
