Three Marshfield Teens Charged in Bomb Threat

Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) Three Marshfield High School students have been charged in the case of a bomb threat incident which occurred Dec. 17.

Jared E. Roggenbauer, 17, Bradley Hendrickson, 18, and Gage A. Plechaty, 18, made their initial court appearance on Dec. 26. They face charges of making terroristic threats with Hendrickson and Plechaty as party to the crime.

Roggenbauer had reported finding a threat on men’s bathroom stall to the school resource officer. The threat stated a bomb would go off at 1 p.m. underneath the library that day. The report led to the early dismissal of the high school by 11:30 a.m. as a precaution, followed by a police sweep of the building which uncovered no threats.

Police investigation using surveillance video to narrow down suspects. Roggenbauer admitted to writing the threat to get out of school. A preliminary hearing and arraignment is set for January 8.

Update: The hearing has been rescheduled to January 17, 2020.
