Closing Sales Now through June 30
Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) Three Sisters downtown resale boutique will close on June 30.
Owning a store was a lifelong dream for owner Nicole Ledin, who opened for business last August. Three Sisters found early success and quickly outgrew the space, expanding to a new location just a few doors down the street at 125 S. Central.
The decision to close came after taking losses the last five months, which meant covering overhead costs was a challenge.
“There’s just not enough customer support. Wisconsin is Wisconsin, so the seasons don’t play well to bring people out,” said Ledin.
A closing sale will take place now through the end of June, with 25 percent off items storewide and 20 percent off consignment items.
Though the store is closing, Ledin said she isn’t disappointed since she was able to meet fantastic people along the way and fulfill a dream.
“It started out as something to get me my feet moving with my daughter passing away, a way of getting out of bed and finding purpose. I think it’s served its purpose to get me through,” she said. “I don’t look at it as failure or loss. I look at it as it’s done what it’s needed.”
The store was received well and didn’t get any negative feedback. “We got to do what we wanted to. I really put everything into this financially, emotionally, physically,” Ledin said. “I came in well, and my goal is to leave well.”
The closing sale can be browsed during store hours, 10-5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and Sundays from 11-3 p.m.
