MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Looking for something to do this weekend? We’ve got festivals, Craft Events and much more on the docket. Here’s our picks for what fun things there are to do around central Wisconsin this weekend:
- COLBY CHEESE DAYS (July 16-18) – A short trip north on Highway 13 will bring you fun, good food and live music during the annual Colby Cheese Days celebration. The fun kicks off on Friday night when the carnival rolls in to town. There are also lots of food stands supporting local groups that include cheese curds and other fried goods, a grilled cheese stand and funnel cakes to name a few. There is also a softball tournament, cornhole tournament, bench press competition, 5k and 10k run and much more. There will also be different classes of tractor pulls going on all weekend. - DIY DOORMATS @ SCHALOW’S NURSERY (July 17) – This fun event will be geared towards your creative side. The Wausau DIY Company will be helping participants create their own doormats from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Schalow’s Nursery in Marshfield. The cost is $35 per doormat. - DISTRICT 1 BREWING COMPANY FOOD TRUCK FESTIVAL (July 18) – This event is for the food and beer enthusiast. District 1 Brewing Company in Stevens Point will be hosting a Food Truck Festival from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday, July 18. Come out and enjoy food from a variety of food trucks including Dilly Dahl Deli, J&T Pitstop, Smokehound BBQ, Freedom Street Egg Rolls, After Shock Smokers, The Twist Pretzels, Bay Burger, Purple Basil, SmokeHouse Barbeque, Everythang Tacos, Curds of Wisconsin, Munchy’s, Alpha Dogs, Gifted Hands Kitchen, Bill’s Lemonade Stand and more.
