According to Heeg, several local Thrivent members have not yet used their Thrivent Action Teams, with many members eligible for two projects representing up to $200,000 in potential relief for the local community.

What Are Thrivent Action Teams?
Thrivent Action Teams are an exclusive benefit for Thrivent clients with membership, designed to help lead community projects. Members who have applied and been approved for the a Thrivent Action Team receive a Thrivent Action Kit, which includes up to $250 in seed money and resources to kickstart a fundraiser, educational event, or service activity.
Popular examples of Thrivent Action Team projects include:
- Fundraisers to assist families recovering from house fires
- Food drives for local pantries
- Care package drives for individuals displaced by emergencies

How to Apply for a Thrivent Action Team
Thrivent clients with membership can follow these four steps to start a project:

- Get your Thrivent Action Kit: Once approved, youβll receive a package that includes resources to support your project.
- Take action: Gather a volunteer team of friends, family, or neighbors to bring your project to life.
- Share your story: After the project, submit a report to Thrivent highlighting your success.
