MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Get ready to immerse yourself in the culture and history of Wisconsin at Timeless Tales Presents On Wisconsin!, a special evening of literature, art, music, and food. The event will take place on Saturday, March 8, at 7:00 p.m. at the 2nd Street Community Center in Marshfield.
Hosted by Dean Markwardt, the evening promises an engaging lineup of performances and activities that showcase the spirit of Wisconsin. Hub City Jazz will provide live music, setting the tone for a night of entertainment and reflection. Attendees can also participate in a silent auction and test their knowledge with Wisconsin trivia.
One of the highlights of the evening will be a reading by local author John Armbruster from his book Tailspin. The book tells the gripping true story of Gene Moran, a WWII tail gunner who miraculously survived a plane crash, enemy capture, and an extraordinary journey of resilience. Armbruster’s reading is sure to captivate the audience and bring a unique Wisconsin connection to life.
The event will also feature an array of delicious Wisconsin treats, celebrating the flavors and traditions that make the state unique. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and tickets are available for purchase at the door: $10 for adults and $5 for students.
Timeless Tales is the signature fundraising event hosted by the Friends of Marshfield Public Library (FOMPL), a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing library services through advocacy, volunteer efforts, and fundraising. By attending this event, community members will be supporting library programs, projects, services, and resources that benefit readers and learners of all ages.
