Cadott Wrestling’s Brayden Sonnentag Voted OnFocus Athlete of the Week, February 19 to February 25

Voters supported top performers in last week’s Athlete of the Week voting. Taking the top spot was Cadott Wrestling’sĀ  Brayden Sonnentag, earning 848 votes and voted OnFocus Athlete of the Week, February 25.

Second place went to Auburndale Wrestling’s Sloan Welch, with 730 votes.

Third place was earned by Gunner Hoffmann of N/G/L Wrestling, picking upĀ  526 votes. Fourth place went to Makayla Wirkus of Edgar Girls Basketball with 238 votes. Fifth place went to Ellie Jensen of Marshfield Gymnastics with 129 votes.

OnFocus Athlete of the Week, February 19 to February 25

  • Makayla Wirkus, Edgar Girls Basketball – Wirkus came up big for Edgar Saturday night in the Wildcats’ 56-47 win over Athens in a Regional Final. The junior forward scored 15 points and pulled down 7 rebounds. Paired with senior forward Reagan Borchardt’s 21 point 11 rebound effort, Edgar prevailed in a battle of Marawood rivals. Edgar moves on to face Marawood South rival Assumption Thursday evening.
